    Introduction to FaRiG

Farig helps scholars in Georgia, working in the humanities, to carry out research and publish the results. By doing this, Farig contributes to the preservation of Georgia's unique cultural heritage.

FaRiG is an abbreviation for "Friends of Academic Research in Georgia."

It aims to help scholars and professors.

    Why?

Georgian scholars are people who deeply understand both the history of Georgia and of the surrounding countries.

They have a balanced view of the history which led up to the present. Their starting point is to learn the languages of the countries round them, including Turkish and Armenian. They find that it also concerns a knowledge of the history of art.
